First you use your maxi mop or you can go to Michaels and get a pack of
these in different sizes for about 3.00. |
Then you pick your paint. I am using the cake that has dark and light blue
together. Completely cover the sponge of the mop with each color. |
Then press it on the skin with a very slight twising back and forth - don't
go crazy because you want both colors, but you also want some blending. |
Then you add a white dot on the dark part of the bubble. You then can add a very small dark blue line just about half of the light part of the bubble,or you can just leave as is if you have a dark background. | |

| Either load your sponge manually with the colors of the rainbow, or swipe your dampened sponge on a rainbow cake. | Wipe the rainbow on the skin. | Using a round brush, paint a black pot under the rainbow. You’ll want it wider than taller. | To give your pot some added dimension, add a couple of white details for “shine." | Using cosmetic-grade glitter gel, fill in your “gold.” |

| Make 2 dots for the eyes. | Using a flesh-tone paint, make the nose extend just below the eyes. Paint a large, bulbous chin and jaw, and a pointed ear. | Paint the hat in green, making sure you don’t paint over the ear. | Using burgundy, paint in wisps of hair between the hat and eyes, between the eyes and ear, and behind the ear. Also, paint the beard, but do not paint a moustache. | Line your Leprechaun! Add pupils, and a few wisps to the hair to darken it. Add a smile. |

| Make 2 dots for the eyes. | Using grey, make the shark’s body. Try making him fat in the front and skinny at the end. | Add the line-work. Don’t’ forget his gills. It also adds to the character to make wrinkles behind his eyes, and mean eyebrows. | Using a liner brush, add the sharp teeth. | |

| Sponge in a white "blaze" from the forehead down to the upper lip. Cover the upper lip with white. | Using your chosen "horse color", outline the horse head shape with ears pointing up and inward, large rounded "jawbones" on the cheeks, tapering to a small chin bump. Fill in with the same color. | Outline the ear shapes and jawbone lines with black. Make sure the jaw line curves back up into the face like a fish hook on both sides. | With black, outline the lower face, jaw, and lower lip, and put "parentheses" on each side of the upper lip. Place a large "commas" at the sides of the nose, and add curves above the commas for the nostrils. | Add a lock of hair between the ears flowing down between the eyes, and a mane down one side of the head. Be sure to get at least one photo of your model with a big grin for a very cute "horse teeth" photo! |

On this contest there are no beginner categories, however we will post the age of children under 17 so you can take this into consideration during the voting process. As always, you can send in your photos by e-mail electronically or you can drop them in the regular mail (SNAZAROO, 1214 Metro Park Blvd., Suite 201, Lewisville, TX 75057 USA) and we will do the scanning for you. ONLY ONE PRIZE PER PERSON. We want to spread the prizes around.
Other rules.... read this carefully!
1) You may not enter any photo that you have entered before in any step by step
contest.
2) You may not use acrylics or any non-FDA approved face paint in any form. You are otherwise
allowed to use any FDA compliant face paint.
3) If your photo is very fuzzy or out of focus it will not be entered. There is no excuse
here because we are willing to scan the photo(s) for you.
4) Do not take your photo from 20 feet away. Get as close to your art work as possible. We
want to see the art not your entire living room.
Your submitted photo can be on any part of the body (as long as it is PG-13 rated).
