This is the first time we have run this contest. This is also the first time we have offered a "larger" prize. This time the prize is a HP-PhotoSmart 315 Digital Camera! This is a great prize, fully automatic, built in flash (red-eye reduction), 2.1 Mega Pixel resolution, 2.5x digital zoom, 1.8" color preview and postview, lens door for protection, complete with 8 Mb Compact Flash memory card and tripod mountable. This contest is similar to our annual Halloween contest in that we allow just about any kind of photo. It is kind of like a contest, with no rules. Note: We said "kind of like". Just to make sure we all understand, there must be basic quality considerations on the face painting technique/quality and the quality of the actual image. At a minimum the painting quality must at least be consistent to other photos posted to the SNAZAROO photo pages. Don't worry, we are fairly lenient here. The quality of the image can be defined on the FAQ photos page at http://www.snazaroo.com/faqphotos.htm Just don't submit photos that are out of focus, to light, too dark so we can not clearly see the painted surface. Your photo must pass the "what is it test". If we can't tell if it is a Mickey Mouse or a monkey, then it fails the test. Your photo can be on any part of the body as long as it can pass the PG-13 rating (no photos on body parts that would not normally be covered by a bathing suits). Maximum number of photos per person is twenty. Note: we are accepting additional prize contributions from other individuals or companies that would like to further these photo contests. This is true on all contests. If you are interested, send your proposed prize suggestion to snazaroo@mindspring.com .
On this contest there are no beginner categories, however we will post the age of children under 17 so you can take this into consideration during the voting process. As always, you can send in your photos by e-mail electronically or you can drop them in the regular mail (SNAZAROO, 1214 Metro Park Blvd., Suite 201, Lewisville, TX 75057 USA) and we will do the scanning for you. The deadline will be the end of September 15, 2001. If on this date there are not at least 15 entries the contest will continue until we have at least 15 entries. ONLY ONE PRIZE PER PERSON. We want to spread the prizes around. All prizes will be given out but the "excess prizes" will be given to the next person in line during the vote process. It is possible because of these new guidelines that 4th or 5th place actually receives a prize.
Other rules.... read this carefully!
1) You may not enter any photo that you have entered before
2) You may not use acrylics or any non-FDA approved face paint in any form. You are otherwise
allowed to use any FDA compliant face paint.
3) If your photo is very fuzzy or out of focus it will not be entered. There is no excuse
here because we are willing to scan the photo(s) for you.
4) Do not take your photo from 20 feet away. Get as close to your art work as possible. We
want to see the art not your entire living room.

Prizes...
Your submitted photo can be on any part of the body (as long as it is PG-13 rated).
We will break this contest into pages of 50 photos. During the judging we will first vote by page. You will get three votes. The top three photos with the most votes will go on to the final round of voting. You may have more than one photo per page go onto the finals. In the final contest, we switch to the normal weighted vote and only one prize per person.
