1) with a sponge and white cover the face 2) with a sponge and sparkle red cover the outer areas of the face	3) with a brush and dark green (and the eyes closed), draw in eyebrows and emphasize under the eyes	4) with bright green, paint above the eyes as shown 5) with gold paint above the eyes 6) also paint gold line above the green stripe under the eyes	7) with gold paint do curls down the side of the face 8) paint in a gold star on the forehead 9) with bright green paint in some holly leaves by the curls 10) with red paint the lips, emphasize the outer corner of the eye and paint in the red berries	11) with sparkle red give the star a little definition 12) add gold glitter as desired avoiding being too close to the eye

1) for base, using a sponge add pastel green all over the face 2) with sponge blend in a little light brown for goulish hue	3) now with your sponge blend colors or maybe even add more grass green	4) with a brush and black darken the eyes and add black smudges	5) to finish off do some blending for the perfect Frankenstein.

1) with a brush and sky blue paint add the outer wings	2) with orange (or accent color of your choice) add color on the butterfly	3) with yellow add detail under eyes and dots on top of wings	4) with black add the body, dots and lines 5) add glitter gel or powder for extra pizzazz

1) with white paint and a sponge add the white above the eyes 2) with bright red and a sponge cover the rest of the face	3) with a medium round brush and black outline the white eye, be careful when you paint the eyelid	4) add the web	SPIDERMAN

1) with a sponge and white paint add the moon 2) with a sponge and sky blue paint around the moon and the rest of the face, you can blend the blue and white together a little for a better effect	3) with black and a medium round brush paint on the outline for your bat	4) continue with the black to fill in the bat	5) with gold paint the lips, add accent to the bat and add effect to the moon. Don't forget to add the eyes and mouth to the bat.	Bat Face

1) with a sponge and a small amount of water apply a base using colors white, sparkle pastel green and sparkle pink, blend well	2) with round medium brush and white paint, do eyebrows in sweeping motion, working upwards. Working outwards from mouth to make it "whiskery"	3) with aubergine paralyzed powder, brush on chin, temples, and under cheek bones to shape face 4) take a fine flat brush, edge on with dark red paint. Do zig-zags working in toward the center of the face 5) paint on bottom lip pink	6) take a fine round brush and black, emphasize eyebrows with same direction as white 7) with fine brush apply white under the eyes and make whiskers	8) apply crystal glitter to finish

1) using a small amount of water and a sponge, make a base with sparkle blue and turquoise	2) with a flat brush and sea blue, make a "ribbon" down the arm 3) paint dolphins in sky blue	4) with a brush and white add highlights and blend in 5) add white dots for bubbles 6) soften lower edge of ribbon with a little blending with a wet brush	7) add glitter down lower edge of ribbon and on dolphins for highlights

1) with a brush paint in body in purple 2) with a brush, paint wing outline in lilac	3) fill in wings with lilac and bright pink with brush	4) with a sponge dip in gold glitter powder, blend together pink and lilac in the wings	5) with a brush and light pink paint pattern over wings. Keep your brush flowing, it does not have to be a totally smooth line, but aim for symmetry. 6) add pink lines to body and antennae	7) add a splash of gold glitter to lower wing and a dot of crystal over wing edges

1) using a sponge make a base of gold and sparkle green 2) add copper to the eyelids, blend 3) Draw out a leaf shape around the eye using sparkle green	4) blend in green inwards toward the eye 5) outline in copper	6) paint in leaf veins in copper 7) paint in flowers with combinations of meadow colors, pastel blue, yellow and white, try to paint them in random groups	8) with a wet brush and glitter powders, paint in leaves and tendrils around the flowers 9) paint the lips gold	10) add dark orange glitter and outline lips in copper to finish

1) make a nice powdery base of yellow in the center, green under and pale blue around the top and base of the face. 2) add pink blusher near the eyes and the chin	3) paint the land slightly off bonk. Use a loaded fat brush in dark green and blend away with a slightly moist sponge with a pale color of green. Add some mountains in some contrasting colors, and add some other land lines in a turquoise color. 4) With loaded with white color add the clouds and blend away with a dry sponge	5) Put in your tree as you wish. Add also some rocks and other ground cover also. 6) put the leaves on the tree using a stipple sponge	7) Copy Princess Dot from the picture. It is a good idea to draw her a few times before you try this on the face.

1) with sponge and lilac paint add color around the outside of the face 2) with the yellow glitter powder add color to the center of the face 3) with pink glitter powder add blush	4) with a brush and purple paint add the peddles to the flowers (you should do this with one quick stroke for each peddle)	5) with green or teal add the leaves (you should do this with one quick stroke for each leaf)	6) with white paint and a q-tip add the center to the flower	7) add bright pink lips and glitter gel if you wish

1) with a little water and a sponge with paint apply the base using yellow, then blue the add the pink center	2) using a brush and fuschia pink add the outline for the wings (apply pretty wet)	3) form the rest of the wings and with a dry sponge blend in the pink color toward the center of the wings	4) add some glitter powder for extra shimmer and glitz	5) paint the lips with dark pink or sparkle pink 6) with a brush and black paint add the body, head, antennae and detail in wings

1) with a small amount of water and a sponge, add "stripes" of color for the base (pink, pastel blue, yellow, turquoise	2) with a sponge and white paint add the clouds and with a dry sponge drag down the paint to fade away 3) with a brush and dark green add the trees and hedges and then with a dry sponge fade the color down	3) with a brush add the blue base on wings, purple body, red eyes and remaining detail with dark blue	4) with a brush add yellow, add red for the cheeks and with a fine round round brush add the outline, eyes and detail	5) with yellow and rust brown add the "other guy" and with a fine round brush add detail

1) With a sponge and a very small amount of water add white above the eyes, under the nose and under the mouth 2) With a sponge and a small amount of water add yellow between the eyes, down the nose and under the eyes	3) with orange and a sponge add color to the forehead, left and right side of the face and lower portions of the face 4) with a loose powder and pink add color to the cheeks	5) with a brush and black paint add lines to the left and right of the nose	6) continue with the black to add stripes	7) continue with the black to paint the nose, muzzle and whiskers

1) add stripes from the top of the head down of lilac, fuschia pink, orange, yellow and blue 2) blend slightly the colors as you switch colors 3) add a little rouge of pink glitter powder to the cheeks	4) with a pretty wet brush and white paint add the outline to the clouds 5) while still wet use your sponge to pull the white down to form the full cloud, pat the sponge to avoid streaks and to make the white uniform	6) with the brush and white paint, add the sun, base stroke on the dolphin and waves under the dolphin 7) add sparkle pink to the lips	8) add gold glitter gel to the sun and with a brush and black paint add the palm tree to both sides of the face	9) add black and blue detail to the dolphin. Make sure to add the dorsal fin halfway between the front and back and add the tail by placing a "v" at the end of the curve 10) add sea gulls to the sky

1) with a brush and red paint, outline and fill the base coat for the rose	2) with a brush and bright green paint, paint on the stem and leaves	3) with black paint define the peddles on the rose, draw character to the leaves and add accent to the lower leaves and stem	4) with white add a 3 dimension look by painting on highlights	5) for a final touch add your choice of red, silver or green glitter gel

On the current round of contests there are no beginner categories, however we will post the age of children under 17 so you can take this into consideration during the voting process. As always, you can send in your photos by e-mail electronically or you can drop them in the regular mail and we will do the scanning for you. The deadline will be the end of August, 2000. ONLY ONE PRIZE PER PERSON. We want to spread the prizes around. All prizes will be given out but the "excess prizes" will be given to the next person in line during the vote process. It is possible because of these new guidelines that 4th or 5th place actually receives a prize. There must be at least 20 pictures posted in a contest or the contest will continue until we have 15 entries. You may submit full face or cheek art designs. This contest is going on until August 31, 2000 or until we have 20 entries (which eve comes LAST).

3) only one prize can be won per person per contest
4) you must use FDA approved face paints

7) contest will end on August 31st. If for some reason we do not have 20 entries the contest will continue until we have at least 20 different entries.

The Favorites contest is a step by step. This contest will require some honesty. We want at least 3 photos but not more than 5 with instructions. The photo must be what you consider one of your top 10 faces that you paint on a constant basis. It must be a photo that you can paint in 6 MINUTES OR LESS. No complicated photos. We will call this a Favorites - Step-by-step.

For the free web page you must submit all photos. Maximum number of photos 21. On this web page you may include any appropriate marketing material to draw business to you. This is a great opportunity to market yourself. You can develop your own script. We will post 20 photos with 155 pixel width and 1 photo with a pixel width of up to 400. Add your phone number, address and e-mail link. Note: we will have a small disclaimer noting that you are a featured artist and not necessarily an endorsement of you or your company. There will be a featured artist drop down on the home page. We will most likely be selling commercial endorsements to join you at a later date.
